Biography

My name is
Brett Andrew Davis.

Born on the 1st of July 1969 Johannesburg, South Africa.

Currently residing in Riebeeck West, Swartland Valley in the Western Cape.

I learned how to paint with the assistance of another well-known artist by the name of Pavel Kot!

My inspiration is beauty and perfection and imagination to accomplish the challenge! A drive of perfection that the past masters achieved!

My Inspiration

I had seen his works and that inspired me as he is already a master with oils and oil paintings!

I did a lot of sketch work, drawings and so on.

I always had a feeling that I could do more and had an interest in doing oils one day, and I was introduced to Pavel through one of my aunts on my mother’s side!

Pavel helped tutor me in the art of oils and sketching for a few sessions.

My Art

Oils is the medium of choice for my paintings!

I enjoy versatility when it comes to subjects being painted as each one I see as a challenge!

Detail is very important in my works as I try and please the observer gazing apon the paintings!

From a blank canvas to a form of art the creation of a painting satisfies the soul of the artist and leaves the observer their own story through the painting!
